I went back to Beida yesterday. The only memory I wouldn't feel tired to embrass once again is those ones that I spend with my schoolmates. Even before I really luckily became a menber of the PKUers, Beida has been the constant sound source of comforting, inspiring, guiding and uplifting of my life. In the crystal-clear air and comfortably warm sunshine, I had one of the most enjoyable lunch with Alex & Biggest on my old table in Songlin. Memory guided me stroll around the campus in old route, liberal, Yannan Park, 41 Dorm, Cenmemorial Hall, South Gate. In Beida, an andolescent changed into a free-spirited, independent adult.
The most impressive experience yesterday is not enjoyable lunch, not wonderful drama and catching up again with old friends. It is, a conversation with Zhao Minghao. How are about your preparation work for applying going? I can not answer his question. We've come to know eachother for the past more than 3 years, he is the constant cleg that urge me on really important issue. I am so happy to have come to know him and shared with him so many common memories in classrooms.
I feel that I need to leave, as soon as I can. To lead a life that can never say what happens in the future. Premier Zhu said that the Tsinghua spirit is the consistent pursuiting of perfection. If you mean perfection, you imply the scientific methodology, being accurate, being plain and serious. Perfection & harmony exist only in the nature world, never in human world which we call society. While, as the sister university of Tsinghua, Peking University dedicate itself to probing into the art of managing our collective daily life, cultivate individual and social mind, comfort human emotion and therefore appeal the pursuit for beautiful things as perfection and liberaty.
Ken tell me that life is dull. It is, without the strong belife into something that bigger than ourselves. Without dream, life is a bird with broken winges, that can not fly. My connection with Beida determined that I can never leading my life in a simple & joyful & content way, through how I wish to. The only way ahead is being aquisitive and dedicated, to something bigger than myself.

Churchill's 100 Wedding Anniversary
A trivial commemoration to Sir. W. Churchill
I've bought a book on American General Douglas MacArthur earlier today & listened to his farewell speech to the Congress in 1951 tonight. I find MacArthur had a similar attitude towards war with Sir Winston Churchill and they were almost same generation: Churchill born in 1874 & Douglas born in 1880. They all inherit their father's successful career, as Douglas' father are General in Chief of American Philippine Troop & Churchill's father one of the youngest & most unexpected Lord Chancellor that Britain ever seen.
Both Churchill and MacArthur made their fame through war, Churchill in Boer War around the turn of the century and MacArthur in the later Great War. Both Churchill & MacArthur have been exiled from central power because of their die hard resistance to Communism and accused as Warmonger by political opponents and considered as die-hard politically by observers.
As regarding to their personality, both was fearless facing death & danger, both were extremely patriotic in a rarely seen pure form, both were extremely determinant & which serve as a potential threat to their competent subordinates: The First Sea Lord John Fisher's walking out of Admiralty almost ruined Churchill and Eisenhower's leaving MacArthur after 6 years dedicated service as military aid. Both Fisher & Eisenhower has been admirer & followers to Churchill & MacArthur and been driven industriously & but breaking up with their boss for no industrious reason.Maybe Eisenhower is the person qualified to comment on the Character of Both of them for some said that his 6 year service to MacArthur 1929-1933 are necessary prepare for his future handling of Churchill's challenging personality.
As their relationship with the other gender, both Churchill & MacArthur were deeply influenced by their mother and had their beloved ladies struggle for preserving their memory & reputation after their death.
If I have to cite something to describe their personality, I should say it is flame, as dynamic, as pure, as hilarious, as energic, as hot as FLAME.

Bladon
Part of letter to a Churchillian Historian:
How can I neglect Bladon if I have a chance to visit Blenheim Palace, The letter Churchill wrote (most probably to Lady Randolph) from Bladon soon after Lord Randolph's death in 1895 is one of his most important letters. Some Churchill historian, like Paul Addison, consider that it's Lord Randolph's death that incents Churchill's determination to dedicate his life to Politics. Through don't completely agree with this opinion, I do think that this 1895 Bladon Letter gives historian an sound evident to say so.
I remember Churchill had wrote a letter to his aunt around his 14, in which list "to be a solider or a politician " as his career and also said that "as there is no expectation of war in my lifetime, so I guess I have to be a politician ". In this light, I consider Churchill's 1895 visit to Bladon is a catalyst to his pursuit of political power and reputation. The fact that both his father and uncle died at fourties & both himself and Jack were premature made Churchill belived that all Churchill men should die at an early age.
To visit Bladon around sunset time is a dream on my must-complete-dreams list & I hope can do it as early as possible.
Dear Friends who've finished the letters between Don and Fiona, you should learn where my name Clementine come from. To get awareness of this speciall occasion give me great joy & nothing would cheer me more than spending this valuable day with my warm family.

I disagree!
I disagree a lot of the illusion and imagination of amateur and professionals, just rebut here to some of the material I read this morning:
Dear John: Pls. send me a copy of the article regarding to Churchill's Black Dog.
I disagree with the opinion that Black dog is Churchill's inspiration source. I consider Churchill's inner inspiration source are his belief that he was the "man of destiny" and his determination to "accomplish what his father failed to do: PM". Conflicts, including wars and social competitions are Churchill's outside inspiration, sparkled out his energy and guts more than anything else.
As regarding to black dog, I consider it's Churchill's nightmare and something he couldn't waite to get ride of. For As I read the letters between Winston and Clementine Churchill, there is a letter written around 1912 that Churchill said marriage had helped him a lot in getting ride of Black dog and suggested if the Black Dog would trouble him again he might seek help from the German Doctor who successfully cured his cousin's wife's depression.f.

My feeling towards this city
Beijing is always my favorite city, since childhood. In a lot of spots around the urban, there spread yesterday's giggling laughter and golden sunshine Mom, Dad and I had. Through it's almost 20 years before, I still have some blur but inerasable memories. Holding their hands slipped the tiny me through the tunnel, Looking in to the macro-rainbow shined in the fountain in front of the International Exhibition Centre, Sitting by the Lake in Summer Palace in a gloomy afternoon.
I never know why, but one day I lost them and do not dare or willing to recall all those memories. The more I trusted the world, the more I feel myself be cheated. So I decided to return to the starting point: stay with my own heart and taste memories alone. Bitter or Sweet, I feel nothing. I swear to myself, that I will never be self-indulgence, weak again. I am independent, wise. If I succeed, and if I fall, at least I live as all I believe.
